“Our Annual General Meeting will take place on January 11th, 2021 at 7:00 pm. This meeting will be virtual. You MUST RSVP in order to receive the link to join the meeting or the phone number to call in from a cellphone or landline.
Any producer wishing to run for election to the board is welcome to contact us and put their name forward. Also we are looking for delegates to attend the Beef Farmers of Ontario AGM which will also be held virtually in February.
A special motion will be made immediately prior to our VBF AGM on January 11th, that we deal with a change in our constitution. Info is as follows:
The Constitution currently states that the President shall hold office for no more than two consecutive years.
Moved by _________ Seconded by ________ that the constitution be changed to include the following clause:
BY WAY OF 2/3 MAJORITY VOTE THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS MAY EXTEND THE TERM OF THE PRESIDENT BY ONE YEAR IN A CASE OF AN EXTREME PUBLIC EMERGENCY PREVENTING THE NORMAL CARRYING ON OF BUSINESS.”
